[SITE] Vacation

Hello guys! I will be on a excursion with my class from tomorrow, Sunday, until Thursday. Then I am going to be home for two days and leave for Nice with some of my friends until July 18th. During the time that I am not at home, I most likely won’t be able to update the site and gallery. As soon as I come back (July 9th and then 18th) , the gallery will be updated with all the pictures of Dianna during that time.

James Phillips’s new play McQueen begins previews at the St James Theatre tonight (12th May) with the highest grossing advance sales figure in the theatre’s history, including more than thirty shows which have previously played the main stage.

The previous highest figure was recorded by the musical Urinetown in 2014. Directed by John Caird, McQueen opens to press next week and is currently booking until 27th June 2015.

Producer Robert Mackintosh said, “An exciting cast in a highly-anticipated new play, combined with the current public appetite for Lee Alexander McQueen and his designs, have together led to an incredible buzz about McQueen opening in London. We are absolutely delighted that this has translated into record-breaking sales at St. James Theatre.”

The production stars Stephen Wight in the title role and Dianna Agron as Dahlia as well as Tracy-Ann Oberman as Isabella Blow, Laura Rees as Arabella, and David Shaw-Parker as John Hitchcock. Sophie Apollonia, Amber Doyle, George Hill, Eloise Hymas, Jordan Kennedy, Rachel Louisa Maybank, James Revell and Carrie Willis complete the cast.

[NEWS] Dianna to play Dahlia in “McQueen”

Glee star Dianna Agron will make her stage debut in a new drama about fashion designer Alexander McQueen, with award-winning British actor Stephen Wight in the title role.

Agron, 28, who also appeared with Robert  De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer in film The Family, has moved to London to take up the role. She plays Dahlia, a fan of the designer who embarks on a journey with him through the streets of the capital in James Phillips’s new play, McQueen.

Romford-born Wight, who beat Matt Smith to be named outstanding newcomer at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards in 2007, is also returning to London to premiere the drama, after spending the winter forging new contacts in America.

Wight, 35, was last seen on stage in West End hit The Ladykillers. He said: “I couldn’t turn down the chance to take on the role of Alexander McQueen. He was a London boy who came from a humble background, a bit like myself, trying to get ahead in an artistic world. James has done a wonderful job of capturing the complexity of him.”
